NetSports also provides consultancy service within the Sports and Leisure Industry, predominantly through its Principal, Mark Buttifant. Since 2001, Mark has provided consultancy service through , NetSports, and our clients have included Tennis Australia, Tennis NSW, Tennis Victoria, Tennis S.A, Tennis Tasmania, City of Melbourne, RMIT, Melbourne University, Yarra Leisure, City of Whitehorse and numerous tennis clubs throughout Australia. Projects have included: -Reviews of strategic plans and re-alignment of organisation structures; -Facility reviews to improve financial performance and increase usage and participation; -Review of membership program to identify current retention and provide recommendations to significantly improve retention levels; -Program development study into using an innovative tennis competition to drive greater tennis participation among adolescents aged from 13 – 17 years. Mark was also employed by Tennis Australia (TA) as the Commercial Tennis Manager from 2006 – 2011 overseeing the management of TA’s two tennis venues: Melbourne Park and Albert Reserve Tennis Centre. During that time, Mark led a complete business transformation of TA’s underperforming tennis venues by developing a fresh new vision, strategic plan, organisation restructure and new trading name of Tennis World. Within that period, Tennis World delivered an operating surplus for the 1st time ever in its 25 year history whilst also almost doubling usage, achieving the highest usage rates of any tennis facility of its size within Australia.
