COACH

Why do you love coaching?

Working with young players has taught me patience, adaptability and how to communicate clearly, not just on the court, but in life. Every serve, every miss, every small win reminds me that progress is never linear, but showing up consistently makes all the difference.

Why do you love playing tennis?

I always thought tennis was about forehands and backhands. But overtime I've realized that there's more to it. It's elegant, a lifelong activity, constant learning to improve your game, and tennis being versatile.

Your favourite tennis player and why?

Gael Monfils. I love his charismatic personality, athletic, acrobatic playing style, and entertaining showmanship.

Your favourite shot to coach and why?

The double handed backhand: Growing up I struggled to get this shot right. But with the work I put in to it, I managed to learn a lot and enjoyed playing it.

Your favourite shot to play and why?

Inside out forehand. It's one of the powerful offensive shots to play that can create great angles and open up the court.
